Sarah Schwartz, DMA (ABD), University of Maryland at College Park; MM Michigan State University; BME Northern Arizona University, has taught piano at The Conservatory since her move to Illinois in September, 2003. She has over 30 years experience teaching students of all ages and levels. Her students at the Conservatory enjoy the ample performance opportunities, such as First Saturday Recitals, the annual Playathon, the annual Conservatory Chamber Ensemble Festival and the ISMTA Achievement in Music exams every spring.
She is a member of MTNA and the Tuesday Morning Musical Club where she performs chamber music frequently with other members. She has also performed with the Champaign -Urbana Symphony Orchestra, Prairie Ensemble and Arcadia Chamber Players as a guest artist. She performs as accompanist for many different kinds of performances, from high school soloists and college music majors to community concerts with other local professionals.
